“The Birds Of Pondicherry” Exhibit (bird art)

IT’S SHOWTIME!!  The opening reception is this Friday, September 16th from 5PM – 7PM.   All the art has been painted and the doors are about to open for my art exhibit, “The Birds of Pondicherry” at The Gallery at WREN on Main Street in Bethlehem, NH.

I’m donating 10% of the sales from this show to the Pondicherry Wildlife Refuge, in Whitefield, New Hampshire to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Weeks Act, federal legislation which resulted in the building of our national parks.   I chose this theme for my show to help promote the importance of conserving our wild places.  While my paintings are just a small sampling of the abundant bird life which can be found at the Pondicherry Refuge, I’ve tried to choose a varied mix of the bird species for this art show.

My fingers are crossed it will be a well attended event, and of course, I’m also hoping a lot of the art will sell!  It’s one of those…”if you build it, they will come” sort of things.   OK, peeps, I’ve built it…

Hi J, Just got your newsletter and the paintings are absolutely gorgeous! If I had to pick a favorite or two and it was tough–I LOVE the hawk and the yellow warbler. They are all just beautiful! Good luck with the show! Love,
    Mel
