I was inspired to create a couple of paintings of dogs this month.   My plan had been to submit the work to a national competition of dog art but I misread the entry guidelines, missing the deadline for digital submissions.  That will teach me to read more carefully next time!  Here’s the first one completed, titled “Having A Ball”.  My own dog is just crazy about chasing a ball and while she doesn’t know a lot of tricks, she is amazingly agile and has a seemingly endless joy in bringing the ball back for yet another throw.  Again, and again and again…
