One would think that being at home more, I’d have more time to spend out in the field photographing the wild things I see. Rather, this time sheltering at home has been full of home improvement projects, growing a larger vegetable garden, doing more baking and checking items off a “to do” list of things I’d been putting off. Where did the summer go?! I’ve taken a few afternoons or mornings out with my camera to look about and take photos. The pond around my studio is always good for seeing something and I’ve enjoyed these moments out in nature immensely. You never know who’s watching who! When I’m standing quietly waiting, my fellow creatures often come closer for a curious look… what IS that human doing here? Those fleeting moments are what make my forays into the field such fun and worth the effort.
