This little painting will be included in my upcoming exhibit, “The Art Of Nature”, at the Bryan Memorial Gallery later this year. The paint is still fresh and I haven’t come up with a title yet, but something will come to mind. This cat belongs to a friend of mine and during a visit once, I frequently saw it sitting in this spot, avidly watching all the bird activity in the yard. I liked the shadow and light effects and wanted to capture the rich texture of the ripples in the fur. The children’s rhyme/game of “The minister’s cat is a ….. cat” comes to mind with this image!
