Springtime at Nature’s Way Studio II

FBBanner2016It’s been like an episode of wild kingdom around my studio the past couple of weeks.  Every time I look out the window, there seems to be an animal or bird to watch!  It’s getting hard to concentrate on my painting with all this action going on because I don’t want to miss anything that might happen! Turkey2016 The turkeys have begun their spring thing with the Tom’s doing their best to attract the attention of the females.  I’ve seen a couple of mature tom turkeys and about eight females gathering each morning or late afternoon.  A small band of last year’s fawns, grown up enough now to be on their own, have also begun putting in an appearance once or twice a day in their search for food. Rabbit2016 As I was washing up the dinner dishes the other night, I spotted a snow-shoe hare eating some of the tender needles on the young white pine and other evergreen sapling trees on the edge of our yard.   Redfox2016I was lucky enough to see this lovely red fox making it’s way across the road by our house one morning too.  I am bringing my camera EVERYWHERE with me right now.  You just never know what you might see…
